The Market Listings API provides access to retail vehicle listings across the United States and Canada. Access requires an API-enabled account and a unique API key issued by VinAudit. This API key authenticates your application and authorizes requests to VinAudit’s API servers.

The Market Values API estimates the retail, wholesale, and trade-in values for passenger vehicles located in the United States and Canada. This market value by VIN or Year/Make/Model/Trim is based on millions of comparable vehicle sales stored in VinAudit’s sales database. Access to the vehicle market value API requires an API account with Market Value access enabled.

The VIN Decoder API provides access to a library of vehicle specifications data covering attributes, color options, equipment details, recall information, warranties, and photos; it also allows for a “selections” request that can be used to retrieve lists of vehicles based on their year, make, model, trim, style, or ID. The Vehicle History API enables access to the raw vehicle history data behind the VinAudit Vehicle History Report, covering both the United States and Canada. It requires an API bulk access account configured to include the desired response parameters. With an API-enabled account you can login to access your API key. From there, your application can access data by making HTTPS requests to our API server (api.vinaudit.com). The output can be formatted in JSON, XML, or downloaded as a PDF. Full documentation below.

The vehicle ownership cost API can estimate the cost of ownership over the next 5 years based on a vehicle’s VIN. Based on millions of records in VinAudit’s historical vehicle database, the API supports estimating depreciation, insurance, fuel, maintenance, repairs, and state taxes & fees. Access to the ownership cost API requires an API account with ownership cost access enabled.

The Vehicle Images API provides programmatic access to high-quality, OEM-style rendered vehicle images. It supports use cases such as embedding visuals in reports, marketing content, or consumer-facing applications based on identifiers like VIN, or Spec ID. The API supports customizable rendering through optional parameters like pose, color, background, and format, and implements a watermarking system to protect usage across demo and production environments.

The Background Remover (BGR) API, utilizing advanced AI, enables users to remove the background on any vehicle image provided. The output of this API can serve as a valuable complement to the information provided in a car report. To access the API for the BGR images, you must have an API-enabled account, which will provide you with an API Key. This Key allows your application to send data transfer requests to the VinAudit API servers.
